Inside of Foot Push Pass - This is the basic passing technique. Focus on stirking through the center of the ball with your heel down and toe up, planting foot directly next to the ball. If you follow through forward, then you will strike the ball with pace.
Shooting Technique - This is the basic shooting technique we ask our players to perform. First, make sure your approach the ball from a slight angle. Planting foot should be next to the ball. You toe should be locked down (we call it ballerina toe), with you knee bent slight over the ball. Keeping the V in your knee drive through the ball and land on your shooting foot for power.
Outside of the Foot Bent Ball - We use this to play the ball around a defender into space, or to bend around the goalie in the right circumstance. Approach the ball slight at an angle so the your striking foot will be coming just across the ball. Strike the ball with your 3 little toes and you strike from center of the ball and end at the side of the ball to provide the spin. This is a very delicate technique.
Inside of the Foot Bent Ball - This is a technique we can use to either bend the ball around a player in to space or to shoot on the net in the right circumstance. Approach from a slight angle, and strike the ball with your hell down, toe up technique but catch the ball on your instep and swing through the ball from the center back to the ourside of the ball to provide spin. This is a delicate technique.
Driven Ball - Approach from about a 45 degree angle. Planting foot just to the side of the ball. We should strike the ball so the your toe is pointing just outside the ball with your laces striking underneath the center line of the ball so that there is a slight back spin to the ball as it explodes off of your foot.
Chip Ball Strike - Approach the ball from a very slight angle and lock your toe up as you are preparing to strike the ball. Like a chip in gold, punch just underneath the center point of the ball with your toe, and do not provide much follow through. You have struck the ball well if the ball pops up off the ground high and has a very fast back spin to it.
