Dateline Boulder, CO 3/1/08

With only a few practice sessions under their belts and a 1 man bench our U13 Barca Boys got off on the right foot (of Justin) this past Saturday at PV and came away with a solid 4-3 victory.  Justin had 3 of the teams 4 goals, while Beau added a timely one right before the 1st half.  Michael had the first 2 assists, while Boone and Jamie each brought a nice pass to the party.  Carlos made 4 great saves and was unfortunate on 1 incredible shot from close to corner over his head and into the far net (a completely ill advised shot that had to be perfect... and unfortunately was).  The coach saw really nice work everywhere and had to commend the entire team on their grit and determination playing the opening match with only 1 sub.

Bye week upcoming, then it's the Cheyenne Sting at home 3/15, 1:30 kick-off on PV #8.

In the meantime, we will hopefully get in our games this Sunday at the Storm Spring Cup down at Dove and Gates.
