Tryouts
Did you know...
The Boulder County Force Soccer Club has developed more high school varsity, Olympic Development Program, All-Conference, All-State, All-Regional, Super Y League and collegiate soccer players than any other club the Boulder County/North Metro area. 200 BCF players have gone onto play college soccer including All-Conference and All-American student-athletes. Former BCF soccer players have played professionally and have been selected for the US National Teams.
> WHY TRYOUTS? HOW ARE TEAMS FORMED?
Tryouts are open to soccer players from all areas. All competitive soccer players U11-U18 are placed on a team through a tryout process. This process creates multiple teams at each age level and allows each player to be on a team that best suits his or her technical ability, commitment, athletic prowess and tactical awareness. At most age groups the Force has one "Elite" team (Red) who play in Colorado’s elite and premier leagues and 2-4 "Advance" teams who play in premier, classic and challenge leagues. Many Advance teams will reach the Premier level.
For all returning Force players "tryouts" really begin at the first practice of the season. Force players should be aware that player placement is based more on their season than a few hours at tryouts. For players new to the Force, tryouts are an opportunity to showcase their abilities, athleticism and work ethic.
The Elite level team has the first right to offer positions. Elite teams have 16-18 players on a roster. Advance teams have 16-18 players. The Force recognizes that individuals develop at different times and levels. With the approval of the Directors of Coaching and team coaches, players may be asked to move to a more appropriate level between fall and spring seasons.
The Force is aware that players may move to the area in the middle of a season. Players may be added to a roster anytime during the season. Any player who wishes to join a specific team may contact the coach directly with permission from their current team coach to attend a practice session.
