U10 Rec State Cup Champions, BCF Team U.S.A
On Oct 6th & 7th, Colorado Youth Soccer held the Recreational State Cup Tournament and BC Force USA won the U10 Girls Interleague Championship. The opening round of pool play was a close match against Rush Hotshots but USA prevailed 3 - 2. Saturday afternoon USA faced a tough Steamboat FC Red team. Steamboat scored 2 quick goals; USA had difficulty finishing and lost their only match of the tournament 1 - 4. As the team began play Sunday they needed a win during the morning session and a few upsets in other flights to continue through to the Championship Round. USA did their part with a double digit victory vs Broomfield Tigers. After a wait of nearly an hour, final results of pool play were posted and USA entered the Championship Round as the Wildcard. The semi-final opponent was Westminster Cougars. USA came out in a new formation, scored quickly and did a great job maintaining possession and shutting down the Cougars for a 5 - 0 victory. The Championship was a rematch of pool play with USA playing Steamboat FC Red. Unlike pool play, this match belonged to USA. The BCF team scored 2 goals in the first 5 minutes, maintained excellent defensive pressure and cruised to a 6 -1 victory. Great job girls!!!
