(4) Finishing (shooting / scoring)
(5) Creativity

DEVELOPMENTAL TEAM FORMATION:
The Force does not form U9 & U10 teams based on tryouts. We believe that it is important that soccer at this level is focused on individual player development and having fun! Therefore, most teams are formed based on school and neighborhood affiliation. Players can request a team based on their friends and a desired volunteer team coach. The Force does accept whole or partial developmental teams and individual registration prior to the start of the season. Individuals who do not make a formal request will be placed based on age and availability.

Pre-Competitive League (PCL)
Fall 2008 Season Overview
Boulder County Force is proud to launch the inaugural season of the Pre-Competitive League (PCL). The league has been modeled after English Premier League youth academies, Dutch (KNVB) developmental traditions and U.S. Soccer Federation coaching philosophies. It’s under these principles that we have designed a better environment, a better game, and a better league…the PCL
The Boulder County Force Soccer Club is a leader in Colorado youth soccer player development. The level of skill, thought, and speed of play of Force players graduating from the Developmental Academy increases every year. Graduates from the Force Developmental Academy are experiencing unprecedented success in soccer on a State and National level. The Force has seen significant growth and popularity in its U9 & U10 Developmental Academy and there are now over 1,200 Force soccer players. It is player development that pushes the Force to do more; to be better. The next stage in our evolution is the PCL.
The PCL is composed of Force Developmental Academy teams. In addition to league games, invitational “friendlies” with top club teams from around the state and Force U9-U11 teams round out the schedule. The emphasis on all games is on individual player development over game results. All games will be played at Pleasant View soccer complex on Friday nights. The PCL is designed to give players more opportunities to play better soccer in the best possible environment.
Benefits of PCL:
• Provides an increase in quality and quantity of games.
• Provides a fun and inspiring environment for our players.
• Provides a “player development centric” environment.
• Brings the proven “street soccer” model to a grass field.
• Fosters a love for the game.
• Places a greater emphasis on player development than game results.
• Provides a community of over 200 third and fourth grade soccer players.
• Builds and binds our soccer community.
• Prepares players for future soccer success.
To participate in the Pre-Competitive League players must be registered with the Force Developmental Academy:
