Sports Psychology
What do you think to yourself when you are about to shoot the ball? Do you stay calm and focused during the "big" games? Why is goal setting important to peak performance? Often it is the mental component of soccer development that distinguishes a player and team from the pack. BCF coaches work with professional sports psychologists to assist in the mental training aspect of soccer development. Regular workshops for BCF coaches, players and parents are conducted by Dr. Dan (Dano) Freigang, Sports Psychologist for the US National Team and Dr. TC North of the Catalyst Consult Group, Sport Performance Enhancement. The Boulder County Force Soccer Club supports the philosophy that the majority of training for the U9-U14 soccer player should be focused on technical skills development. That said, once a player begins their high school age years (U15-U18) they should begin to take ownership of their conditioning. Today's game demands more and more athleticism from its players. What are you doing to gain that extra step on the field? The following is a complete 12 month conditioning program for the serious high school soccer player. The first document is a guide book that outlines in detail: Weight/Strength Training, Speed, Agility & Quickness Training, Aerobic Training and Anaerobic Training. The second document is the daily program for either boys or girls and is based on the high school and club soccer seasons. > DOWNLOAD THE 12 MONTH CONDITIONING GUIDE BOOK (3.9mb MS Word) > DOWNLOAD THE 12 MONTH PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS (MS Excel) > DOWNLOAD THE 12 MONTH PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL BOYS (MS Excel)

The Boulder County Force Soccer Club believes that the serious soccer player will take pride in what they want to get out of their body. This means they should take pride and responsibility for what goes into it.
