My child has never player soccer? Where do I start? How do I sign my child up?There seems to be so many different options and programs. Here is a quick step-by step-guide to help you get started with the "sign up" process. Hopefully we can simply the process and your child will be running around the soccer field meeting new friends and having a healthy fun time!
We’ll start out with some simple questions to get you heading in the right direction:
1) What is the birth date of your child?
The birth date will determine the age level your child is eligible to play. Kids are grouped first by age. Check the age chart below to see what age level your child is eligible to play.
FAQ regarding Age Groups:
a) What is the "U" in U5, U6, U7, U8, etc. The "U" stands for "under" as in Under 8 years old prior to the start of the season.
b) Can my child "play up" an age group? At U5-U10 a child may play up an age group as appropriate. However, as per the rules of our governing association,
Colorado Youth Soccer Association, a U10 child may not "play up" to U11 unless they are in the 5th Grade for the fall soccer season. A U11-U17 player may "play up" as appropriate.
