Seventy-four BCF players were selected to participate in the Olympic Development Program Colorado Player Pool,  which is the first level of the US Youth Socer ODP program. ODP players are grouped based on January 1-December 31 birth year. The coaching philosophy of US Youth Soccer ODP is to identify players of the highest caliber on a continuing and consistent basis, which will lead to increased success for the U.S. National Teams in the international arena.

The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program was formed in 1977 to identify a pool of players in each age group from which a National Team will be selected for international competition; to provide high-level training to benefit and enhance the development of players at all levels; and, through the use of carefully selected and licensed coaches, develop a mechanism for the exchange of ideas and curriculum to improve all levels of coaching.

BC Force players selected for the ODP Colorado Player Pool will participate in training with the Colorado ODP coaches. The player pool will be reduced to a final state pool for the Colorado College Showcase in May, 2008. After the Showcase, 18 players from each age group will be selected to represent Colorado at the Far West/Region IV ODP Camp in Jul, 2008. After that camp a Region IV team will be selected for international competitions and an invitation to the National ODP Camp. At the National ODP Camp players will have an opportunity to be selected for the US National Team Player Pools and Team.
