> Recreational Registration - Fall 2008
Overview:
Recreational soccer is a fun way to be active, enjoy playing on a team and learn the basics of soccer in a fun and community-oriented environment. For the fall 2008 the BCF is offering "In-house" (meaning no travel outside of Boulder) recreational leagues for U5, U6, U7, & U8.
Cost:
The BCF is excited to offer the most organized soccer club in Boulder County. At $90 (includes uniform) a season, our U5-U8 recreational fees are the lowest in the area. Our goal is to provide every child the opportunity to play soccer in a FUN, organized and inspiring environment. Please contact the BCF Recreational & Developmental Administrator, David Napior, if you need financial assistance. We have generous scholarship programs.
All recreational fees include a Nike Uniform consisting of a game jersey (U5-U7), (U8 include shorts and socks), as well as all fees for fields, equipment, insurance, league registration, coaching education, skills clinics (U8) and club administration.
The Program:
The BCF In House Recreational program is designed for boys and girls ages 4 – 8 wishing to discover the game of soccer, or continue their enjoyment of the game. The U5-U8 In House league games are played in Boulder on Friday evenings. Playing games on Friday evenings allows families to enjoy their weekend for other activities. Practices are located at city parks or schools.
• U5-U8 In the Force league games will begin on Friday, September 12th, 2008 and will continue each Friday, concluding on October 31st, 2008 (tentative).
Teams:
BCF U5-U8 In Force league teams are formed by age group and gender depending on the number of registrants. There are no tryouts and the BCF discourages all-star teams. The focus is on having FUN! Teams are structured to give each player the opportunity to explore and grow within the game.
Coaches:
The foundation of any successful recreational youth sports organization is volunteer coaches who donate their time and effort to make the program a success. BCF volunteer soccer coaches receive training and instructional material from our professional staff at the beginning of each season. The BCF professional staff offers on the field coaching training for volunteer coaches. There are also coaching courses offered in Colorado for coaches. If you are interested in becoming a coach in our recreational program please email the BCF Recreational & Developmental Administrator, David Napior at david.napior@bcforce.com.We’d love to have you join our team!
> Additional skills training - Players in the U8 program will have the opportunity to participate in an optional skills training conducted by the BCF professional coaching staff. There is no additional charge for these skills sessions. There will a seasonal rotation. So your team will get at least two sessions per season.
Registration:
The Fall 2008 season is now open for registration. Requests for a coach or teammate will be considered if the registration is received in our office on or before August. 1, 2008. We will try our best to honor these requests. Any registrations postmarked after August 1, 2008 may be put on a wait list. Players on the wait list are placed on teams on a first come, first served basis as openings arise.
Players can sign up as individuals and they will be placed on teams or parent/coaches can register complete or nearly complete teams.
